The Plain User  Interface - Introduction
The plain user interface is tailored to the needs of common users, who are connected to the Internet via slow data-links.
It lines up the icons of the people in the vicinity together with their names and additional information, as configured. A text-based chat facility is also provided.
The plain userinterface was developed using the Java Development Kit (JDK) and therefore requires nothing but a properly configured Java Run-time Environment (JRE) and a Java compliant Web browser, such as Internet Explorer 3.0 or greater, or the Netscape Communicator.
